SPIRAL: Selected Patient Information Resources in Asian Languages began as a joint initiative of the South Cove Community Health Center and Tufts University Hirsh Health Sciences Library. SPIRAL aims to increase access to Asian-language health information for consumers and health care providers. The SPIRAL web site is a collection of links to Asian-language patient care documents that have been created by authoritative sources and are freely available on the World Wide Web. Links are organized by topic and language.
SPIRAL is currently maintained by Tufts University Hirsh Health Sciences Library and is supported by a grant from the New England Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine under contract N01-LM-6-3508.
The Tufts University Hirsh Health Sciences Library serves the Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine, the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, the Tufts Medical Center and other institutions affiliated with Tufts.
