Asian-language health information featured on SPIRAL has been selected for inclusion based upon the following guidelines:

English-language versions are available for comparison
- Information is developed and maintained by authoritative sources. These sources include:
- Government and state agencies (e.g., New South Wales Health Department (Australia); Department of Health – Hong Kong; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Minnesota Dept. of Health)
- Universities, hospitals, non-profit health agencies (i.e., Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK); Diabetes Australia; Georgia State University; Vietnamese Community Health Promotion Project; Harborview Medical Center - Seattle, WA)
- Government and state agencies (e.g., New South Wales Health Department (Australia); Department of Health – Hong Kong; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Minnesota Dept. of Health)
Information is recommended for inclusion by multi-lingual subject specialists
